How Checktide works

Hand off the testing of your next web change. This page is what you need to know before and after you start a verification.

From the issue to the report

  1. It reads the issue. Open Checktide on a Jira issue and it lists what it will check, in the issue's own words, and where. If it can't read the issue just then, you can still start, and we read it ourselves. If the change in your issue could break other features, we list them before we start and check them too, at no extra charge.
  2. One click starts it. Starting a verification needs at least one credit, or a free verification — except on our demo shop, which is free for 3 demo verifications a month. Pages behind a sign-in are tested with a test account you give us. Websites inside your network need a connection to Checktide for verification; you can set it up from the environment's page in Checktide.
  3. The report. Your first report arrives within 4 hours of your starting the verification, and a retest report within 1 hour of your starting the retest, at any hour of any day. If we need to ask you something, we ask in a comment on the issue, and the clock stops from that comment until you answer. If we're late, that verification is free: nothing is deducted, and no free verification is used. A person checks every verdict against its evidence. Checktide's page in Jira shows your month: the problems found, the questions waiting for you and, with a subscription or trial, each verification's time and credits.
  4. Retest or cancel. After you fix or change your application, one retest of the same scope requested within 14 days of delivery uses no credits. Request it from the report. Cancel before the first report, and nothing is charged.

What it costs

Free for 30 days, then one free verification a month, or subscribe. Charged only for results, and nothing for a report that is late, or that we correct or withdraw.

After delivery, we charge the time we worked on it at $0.30 a minute, billed by the second and never rounded up. Think a report is wrong? Tell us and we re-check at no charge; if we correct or withdraw it, anything deducted for it comes back.

Credits arrive with a Checktide subscription. The pricing page has the numbers.

Install it

Checktide is an app for Jira Cloud, installed from the Atlassian Marketplace by someone who can install apps on your site.

We only test the environment you name, with the actions you permit. On your issue we add a short comment only to tell you about your verification, and change nothing else in your Jira.

Try it on the demo shop

Five minutes, nothing on your site touched, free for 3 demo verifications a month. The shop has two defects we planted.

Delivery price and password reset on the demo shop

On demo.checktide.app, standard delivery is $4.95 and free over $60. The delivery estimate updates when the address changes. A password-reset link works for 30 minutes.

  1. Create an issue in any project with this text.
  2. Open it and expand Checktide in its right-hand panel. It lists the three things the text asks for. When it asks “Where should we verify?”, enter demo.checktide.app, then press Verify these 3 now.
  3. Your report arrives within the hour, with both defects and their evidence. We comment on the issue when it is ready.
